MADRAS FUSE

Madras Fuse is a social enterprise established by Oasis India, an organisation dedicated to combating human trafficking and supporting women at risk. This initiative focuses on creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for women vulnerable to exploitation in the sex industry, as well as those who have been rescued from sex trafficking in Mumbai.

At the heart of Madras Fuse is a tailoring centre located within Mumbai’s red-light district. Here, women receive specialised training, equipping them with valuable skills and the means to pursue safe, dignified alternatives for earning a living. Every product they craft tells a story of resilience, strength, and renewed hope.

Madras Fuse also partners with a women’s cooperative near Chennai, South India, where our charming handcrafted keyrings are made. This cooperative acts as both a skill training and production centre, supporting women from marginalised communities through meaningful work and income-generating opportunities.

When you choose a product from Madras Fuse, you’re doing more than purchasing something beautiful — you are directly contributing to transforming lives. Your support helps women gain independence, rebuild their futures, and thrive with dignity and purpose.

KILMORA

Kilmora is a Fair Trade and Craftmark-certified social enterprise based in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, India. Deeply rooted in ethical practices, Kilmora reinvests its earnings into rural development, striving to create sustainable livelihoods in some of the most remote Himalayan villages.

Enfair has proudly partnered with Kilmora since 2021, offering their beautifully handwoven linen and wool scarves. Handloom weaving was introduced by Kilmora as a meaningful livelihood option for local youth, where opportunities outside of traditional agriculture are limited. The initiative not only provides employment but also helps stem the tide of outward migration by offering dignified alternatives at home.

Operating within a fragile Himalayan ecosystem, Kilmora’s work responds to the realities of climate change and shrinking agricultural prospects. Their commitment goes beyond just income generation; they invest in fair wages for artisans and farmers, ensuring that every piece of work is valued and respected.

Kilmora’s impact also extends into community well-being. The organisation actively supports education and healthcare by funding a primary school and a local hospital, making vital services accessible in underserved areas.

Every Kilmora product, from a delicately woven scarf to a jar of cold-pressed oil, carries a story of resilience, dignity, and hope. Each purchase contributes directly to sustaining livelihoods, supporting community infrastructure, and empowering individuals to lead fuller, more independent lives.
